Baba Fayemi Abidemi Fakayode is a Babaláwo rooted in the Ifá tradition of Ibadan, Nigeria, with over 30 years of practice. He holds the revered title of Araninsan Awo of Ibadanland, conferred by the Ose Meji Temple, one of the highest recognitions within the tradition.
Born into a distinguished lineage of Ifá priests and cultural leaders, his path as a Babaláwo was foretold through Ifá divination prior to his birth. He began his training in 1986 under High Chief Fasola Babatunde Olatinwo Olojaoke and continued under the guidance of Baba Olatinwo Awolowo Akanmu.
Beyond his individual practice, Baba Fayemi has contributed to the preservation and advancement of Isẹ̀ṣe through leadership, cultural work, and public education, including media, community initiatives, and educational efforts in Ibadan and beyond.
He has shared his knowledge internationally, presenting on Ifá and its relevance across cultural contexts, with engagements in the United States, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.
Today, he continues his work as a Babaláwo, teacher, and cultural leader, guiding individuals and communities with clarity, integrity, and deep respect for the Ifá tradition
